Physicochemical Property

Fluororubber is common in market in the middle of 1950s,Which is the copolymer of the Ethylen fluoride and hexafluoropropylene. Its specifia gravity is 1.85,Th chemical resistance and low pressure resistance of fluororubber differs according to different molecular structure and fluorine content.Fluororubber is well-known as its good performance in fire resistance,air tightness (vacuum degree reaches 1.33 x 10-7 _ 1.33 x 10-8pa), ozone resistance,weather ability,ageig resistance and chemical resistance.Viton produced by organic peroxide vulcanization has even better property.

Temperature Range

Static Seal: -30℃ - 232℃，275℃ for short time.

Motive Seal: -20℃ - 200℃

GLT Type: -60℃ - 250℃

Hardness

Shore A50 to 95 degree

Application

Sealing products made by Flororubber can be used as part of sealing system for vehhicle and airplane engine,It can be applied for long time operation under temperature of 250℃.therefore it will can used for sealing of engine power take off shaft,engine stem,cylinder cover,clutch,filter,fuel pump and as the inside coat of fuel tube,Fluororubber is the only material that can be used under high vacuum confition.Under 1.33 x 10-7 pa,only fluororubber can be used as sealig material.

Therefore,Fluororubber is widely used in aerospace.Fluororubber can be used in inorganic acid medium.It can be used for long time operation in 67% sulfuric acid under temperature of 140℃,in concentrated hydrochloric acid under temperature of 70℃.and in 30% nitric acid under temperature of 90℃.Special flurorubber can even be used in aqua regia.In semiconductor industry,fluororubber can be used in mediums under temperature of 275℃ such as silicon tetrachloride,gallium arsenide and phosphorus oxychloride,Viton GLT has wider temperature range,and has good HTS mineral oil corrosion resistance performance,which is used widely in aerospace,Viton ETP is usually used in chemical industry with its good chemical resistance .
